FR. SEAN’S FAREWELL

Published on October 6, 2021

We had a memorable farewell to Fr. Sean this Wednesday morning. Fr. Sean and his confrere Fr. Billy Cleary concelebrated with Fr. Pat, with a very large congregation from St. Paul’s & Butlerstown, and friends from far and wide. At the end of Mass, there were brief talks from Fr. Sean and Fr Billy, and presentations made by Peter Kelly on behalf of the Parish Councils, and a farewell message from Teresa Murphy to Fr. Sean. We followed up with refreshments in the Parish Centre, served by members of the Hospitality Team. There was a further presentation of the Frederick Ozanam Medallion from Brian O’Donoghue on behalf of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. All together a fitting thanks to Fr. Sean. Congratulations and many thanks to all concerned, and all the best to Fr. Sean on his onward journey. We wish him a blessed and healthy retirement.
